A Journey of Food and Friendship in Japan

Our story starts in 1993. Nogami, inspired by his adventures around the world, began teaching
Japanese in a local church. It was here that he realized that his students didn't just miss speaking
their language; they missed the flavors of home too. This sparked an idea: "Why not bring those
familiar tastes to Japan?"

From this thought, The Amigos came into being. But we're not just any food joint. With four stores in the Tokai region, we specialize in imported ingredients and fine meats. If you can't visit us,don't fret! We've been shipping quality ingredients all over Japan since 1997, first through mail-order and then online. In 2023, we revamped our online brand from "Asianfoods" to "The Amigos Asia."

For those in Nagoya, we have a treat for you! We run an American BBQ spot where you can enjoy the best cuts of meat, a testament to our expertise. And when we say expertise, we mean it. The Amigos is recognized as a meat specialist across the group. Whether you're looking for premium or budget-friendly cuts, we've got you covered thanks to our extensive sourcing routes. Our passion for meat isn't just talk. We've proved our skills by winning awards at the American Royal BBQ Contest (one of America's largest competitions) in 2017 and the Cowtown Steak Classic (the world's largest steak competition) in 2018.
